Week 4 Day 4

I have an MD appt today.  Hoping to get rid of the crutches! (they are the pain, foot doesn't hurt)
I finally started back exercising yesterday.  Scott Colby gave me some amended workouts that I could do without going to they gym, or bearing weight on my foot.  It really felt good to do something.  I have cleaned up my eating a little more this week.  Went back to mostly vegetarian, feels great.  Will work on my blogging this week.  I am embarrased to say it took me almost an hour to figure out how to log on and post today!  Oh, well, I'm still learning.

SMART Quest for today: Enjoy my reward day! Try 1 recipe from my new Metabolic Cooking cookbook
I snuck a peek at the scale this morning 138.4!!! lowest in a long time.  Can you say motivation?  Now I need to keep it under 140 through Monday.  I have gotten under 140 a couple of times in the past month, but can't seem to stay there for a week.  That is changing now.  I WILL keep it under 140 now.  This will be a challenge this weekend, because we are going to Nashville Friday nite, then on to Lookout Mtn for a wedding on Saturday.

New to Blogging

Today is my first day blogging.  My blog name tells of my hobbies: quilting and running.  I am also very family oriented, my wonderful husband and 3 great sons.
My oldest son, Jean-Paul had a birthday yesterday.  Happy Birthday Honey, I miss you!
I currently have a broken foot, so running is not an option right now, so quilting it is!  I'm trying to focus my energy on quilting to stay posetive.
I am also very interested in health and nutrition.  I am currently in Scott Colby's Ageless Abs 2 program.  Although, I am not doing very well, since the foot complicates exercise.  My focus for this coming week is to put excuses aside, clean up my eating and begin exercising however I can.  I just purchased 2 sets of dumbells and a medicine ball.  Now I can exercise at home without bumming a ride to the gym.  Independant, that's the way I like my life.
